Our Refugee Neighbors

To be a community that reflects the radical love of Jesus by loving and helping one another.

Our resettled refugee neighbors wait years (often decades) to be resettled to the United States. When they are selected, they endure a long and LEGAL process to be admitted into our country. It's important to understand who our neighbors are, where they come from, and the lengthy (and legal) channels they went through to get here. It's also critical to see our neighbors as people - created in the image of God - who desire a safe place to live and raise our children, access to education and medical care when our kids get sick, and to know that we are loved, valued, and belong.

Stop and imagine: How bad would it have to be to leave it all behind? Everything that is familiar - people, places, language, culture - leaving all of it to find safety. All of the hoops you must jump through to find security for you and your family. Our refugee neighbors are among the bravest, kindest, hardest working neighbors you will ever encounter.

Our resettled refugee neighbors have followed ALL of the rules; they have waited their turn for resettlement (some wait decades). They have endured all of the background checks, medical and security checks, interviews, and endless paperwork. And they have done it all legally.

We stand with our refugee neighbors; we are a RADICAL LOVE FAMILY. Join us as we continue to work together, to make our community stronger, ALL OF US.
